How to Backup Delta Saves to iCloud
Protect hundreds of hours of progress with a free, manual export to iCloud Drive — or automate it with Delta Sync.
Overview
A save file is the only thing standing between you and redoing dozens of hours of progress, so it's worth backing it up somewhere that survives a lost phone, a failed update, or an accidental deletion. Delta makes this easy with a built-in Export Save option that hands you the raw .sav file to store wherever you like — iCloud Drive being the obvious choice since it's already on your phone and syncs to the cloud automatically.
This manual export method is completely free and works on every version of Delta. There's also an automatic option called Delta Sync, which continuously syncs saves and settings between an iPhone and iPad without you having to export anything manually — that feature is part of Delta's Patreon tier, but it's entirely optional; the manual method below covers everything most players need.

Good to Know
Keep backups organized in a dedicated folder like iCloud Drive/Delta Saves/ so you're not hunting through dozens of files when you need to restore one.
An iCloud backup of your whole iPhone is not the same as exporting individual save files — device backups can be slow to restore from and don't let you grab a single game's save on demand. Manual exports are faster and more reliable for this specific purpose.
Make sure you have enough free iCloud storage; save files are tiny (usually under 1 MB each), so this rarely becomes an issue even on the free 5 GB plan.
