About This Hack
Pokemon Unbound is widely regarded as one of the most polished full-length Pokemon fan games ever made, built on the FireRed engine but telling an entirely original story in a brand-new region called Borrigade — not a remix of any existing Kanto, Johto, or Hoenn map.
The level cap is raised well past 100, giving late-game and postgame content real room to breathe, and the hack ships with a fully original soundtrack rather than remixed tracks from the mainline games. Its own villainous team and cast of rivals drive a story that stands on its own.
Unbound also offers multiple selectable difficulty modes — a relaxed story-focused setting for players who want to enjoy the narrative, or the punishing "Unbound" mode for a genuine challenge run.
