Pokemon Ruby GameShark Codes

Pokemon Ruby's GameShark codes patch the same kind of memory addresses as any Gen III title, but Ruby and Sapphire use their own offsets separate from FireRed and LeafGreen — don't mix code sets between the two ROM pairs even though the games look similar on the surface.

This list focuses on what Ruby players reach for most: infinite Master Balls for locking down Groudon or the other legendaries without risking a miss, Rare Candy generation for quick leveling, and a wild Pokemon modifier that lets you force specific species to appear in grass or water encounters — handy for filling out a Living Dex without hours of route-walking. Every code here has been checked against the standard USA v1.0 Ruby ROM.

Turn off the wild Pokemon modifier and Rare Candy code before working on a save meant to reflect genuine progress, like a completion run — save these for the grinding you'd rather skip.
