Kirby Super Star

Kirby Super Star ditches the single-campaign structure of earlier entries for a menu of eight separate games, each with its own pacing: Spring Breeze is a quick remake of the original Dream Land, Dyna Blade and Gourmet Race add new mechanics and time-attack modes, and The Great Cave Offensive turns Kirby loose in a sprawling dungeon stuffed with collectible treasures.

The game's biggest lasting contribution is the Helper system — swallow an enemy to get their copy ability as usual, then spit out a second Kirby-shaped Helper that a friend can control in local co-op, each with attacks tuned differently from Kirby's own version of the same power. Revenge of Meta Knight and the extended finale Milky Way Wishes close things out with some of the series' most inventive boss gauntlets.
