Mario Kart: Super Circuit was the first portable entry in the Mario Kart series, launching with 5 cups of brand-new GBA tracks and — uniquely for the series — every track from the original Super Mario Kart on SNES unlockable as bonus cups once you place well enough in Grand Prix mode, giving the cartridge 40 tracks total.
It carried over Time Trial ghost data recording from Mario Kart 64 and added Battle Mode's balloon-popping arenas alongside the usual item-based racing, all built to run smoothly on GBA hardware with single-cart multiplayer link support so one cartridge could be shared across a group.
