Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia

Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia is the sequel to the original Pokemon Ranger, moving the action to the new Almia region and giving the stylus-driven Capture Line mechanic a much stronger story to back it up. You start as a student at the Pokemon Ranger School before graduating into the field, working your way up through Ranger ranks while investigating Team Dim Sun's plan to exploit Almia's most powerful Pokemon.

Shadows of Almia expands on the original with a partner Pokemon that assists during capture sequences, a wider variety of field styluses for different capture situations, and side content like the Ranger Net for post-story missions. The story is considerably more developed than the first Ranger game, with a real antagonist organization and consequences that build across chapters instead of a loose string of field missions.
