Sonic Rush Adventure

Sonic Rush Adventure takes the boost-heavy 2D action of the original Rush and wraps it in an open hub structure: instead of a straight stage-select menu, you sail a small boat between the islands of a shipwrecked archipelago, unlocking new zones as you collect materials to upgrade your vehicles. Blaze the Cat, now stranded alongside Sonic and Tails after a storm, is a fully playable second lead with her own take on every stage.

The material-gathering loop feeds a vehicle customization system — parts collected from stages and treasure chests build faster boats, submarines that reach underwater routes, and even planes for aerial shortcuts, all needed to access new islands and hidden bonus content. Marine the Raccoon, a chatty pirate recruit, tags along for the ride and gets her own vehicle-based extra stages once you're deep enough into the story.
