📖Overview

A lot of players keep their ROM backups stashed in Google Drive rather than local storage, and iOS makes that a viable source directly — once the Drive app is installed and signed in, it registers itself as a location inside the Files app, right alongside iCloud Drive and On My iPhone.

Delta's Import Files flow can pull from any Files-app-visible location, Google Drive included, so there's no separate download step: you browse straight into Drive from Delta's own import screen and the file gets copied into Delta's local library in one tap.

The one snag is compressed archives — if your ROM backup is sitting inside a .zip, it needs to be extracted first, since Delta expects the raw ROM file rather than an archive containing it.

Step-by-Step

01
Install Google Drive
Download the Google Drive app from the App Store and sign in, then enable it as a Files location under Files > Browse > Locations.
02
Open Delta's Import
In Delta, tap the + button in your library and choose Import Files, then browse to Locations > Google Drive.
03
Select Your ROM
Navigate to the ROM file, tap it to select, and confirm the import — Delta copies it into its local library.
04
Extract Zips First
If the ROM is inside a .zip, use the Files app to uncompress it before importing, since Delta expects the raw ROM file.

💡Good to Know

Keep a dedicated "ROMs" folder inside Drive so Delta's import browser stays easy to navigate as your library grows.

Drive files download on demand rather than syncing in full, so large ROM collections won't eat local storage until you actually import something.
