How to Enable Landscape Mode in Delta

Delta launches every game in portrait by default because most of its bundled skins are built that way, which makes sense for on-the-go GBC or GBA play but wastes a lot of screen on a modern iPhone turned sideways. Landscape isn't a setting hidden in a menu somewhere — it's a different skin entirely, assigned per console, so enabling it means picking or importing a skin built for horizontal orientation rather than flipping a switch.

Once a landscape skin is active for a console, Delta remembers it and swaps automatically whenever you rotate the device with rotation lock off, no need to reselect it every session. Most landscape layouts push the D-pad and face buttons out to the edges and stretch the emulated screen across the middle, which is especially welcome for NDS games where the extra width helps fit both screens without cramming them small.

Not every console has an official landscape skin bundled with Delta out of the box, which is where importing a custom `.deltaskin` file comes in — the same mechanism covered in our general skins guide, just filtered to landscape-tagged designs.

Landscape skins are set per console, not globally — switching your GBA skin to landscape won't touch your NDS or GBC layout, so repeat the step for each system you play.

iPad users generally get the most out of landscape mode since the extra screen real estate leaves comfortable room for both the game and full-size touch controls without crowding.

If a landscape skin looks stretched or the buttons feel misaligned, it was likely designed for a different aspect ratio than your device — try a couple of alternatives before assuming landscape mode itself is broken.
