Pokemon HeartGold is the Nintendo DS remake of Pokemon Gold, rebuilding the Johto region in full 3D-style overworld graphics while keeping the original's turn-based battle system. It bundles in the Pokewalker concept digitally, plus every quality-of-life feature the DS generation introduced, like the Pokemon following you around outside their ball.

True to the original Gold/Silver structure, HeartGold doesn't end at the Johto Elite Four — after credits roll, the entire Kanto region opens up for a full second adventure, culminating in a rematch against the original games' famous final boss.
