Pokemon Theta Emerald

Pokemon Theta Emerald keeps Hoenn's map, badges, and story beats exactly where you remember them from the original Emerald, but rebuilds the wild encounter tables so nearly the full National Dex is available without a single trade — species from later generations show up on routes and in caves right alongside the Gen 3 originals.

On top of the expanded Dex, the EX build layers in Mega Evolution for eligible species, the physical/special split so movesets behave the way they do in modern games, and a Fairy type carved out of the old Normal/Dark move pool. Trainer teams throughout the region were rebalanced to use the wider roster too, so gym leaders and the Elite Four hit noticeably harder than the vanilla game.
