About
Pokemon Sapphire is the pair version to Ruby, set in the same Hoenn region but following Team Aqua instead of Team Magma. Team Aqua wants to expand the sea by awakening Kyogre, which is this version's exclusive legendary — Groudon is reserved for Ruby.
Outside of the rival team and legendary swap, Sapphire is identical to Ruby in structure: the same gyms, the same Secret Base customization system, and the same Pokemon Contest side content running alongside the main story.
